Number One The Laurels is located within a quiet conservation area of Buxton where the gentle chimes of the impressive Devonshire Dome can be heard from the doorstep. A stay here offers both the convenience of being a 5 minute walk from the town centre whilst also being in a peaceful setting on the edge of beautiful countryside. Buxton makes a wonderful base to explore the Peak District.

Buxton is easily accessible on public transport. 

The train station is a five minute walk away. Trains go direct to Manchester taking one hour. The nearest mainline station is 12 miles away in Macclesfield where direct trains to London take 1 hour 45 minutes.

There are a number of bus services in and out of Buxton from major destinations. 

All well as having the Peak District on the doorstep, Manchester, Sheffield and Derby are all within a hours’ drive. 

The M1, M6 and the M60 are all within an hours' drive of Buxton.
